With temps finally resembling summertime and neighbors celebrating high school graduations – Hootie and the Blowfish at full blast? Seriously?- it was high time for me to get out and head to my favorite spot in Marblehead. Alas, a house right next door was also having a high school graduation celebration. Fortunately, no Hootie and the Blowfish was to be heard.
The annual Boston Wounded Vet Bike Run was held today, starting in Revere and working its way through several North Shore communities that included Melrose and Wakefield. Starting in 2011, the annual Boston Wounded Vet Run is dedicated to different veterans. All proceeds raised go towards housing modifications to suite a comfortable living for the disabled veteran.

A day off from work translated into a day trip to my current favorite photography spot: the state of Maine. The weather started off iffy, but soon changed as I head to the towns of Freeport and Phippsburg, where the beauty of Wolfe’s Neck and Popham Beach State Parks awaited me. As if the lovely locations weren’t enough, I was lucky to meet a great group of people along the way who gave me tips on new locations to track down in the future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the photos taken on May 12th.
