Sunrise at Nubble Lighthouse – York, Maine 03.14.20

It was quite the week.

What better way to escape the insanity of our current world than to get up before the crack of dawn and head on out to watch the sun rise. The following photos were taken this morning at Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. Being out on the shore, surrounded by the stillness brought on by a new day certain goes a long way in helping one decompress from society.

I hope you enjoy the pics. Please stay safe and healthy.

A Foggy Morning In York – 9.15.18

This morning, I headed up to York, Maine to participate in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s (The walk raised a phenomenal $76,000. Awesome work, Maine!). Since I was going to be in the area, I figured I would get up early, head over to one of my favorite haunts – Nubble Lighthouse- and take some pics of the sunrise. Alas, it was more of a “fog rise” than anything else. Luckily for me, a foggy morning on the coast of New England is something I truly like. Especially when taking some pics.

Color pics are great, but I have missed taking shots that I would process in black and white. A foggy morning where sunlight was practically nonexistent was the perfect opportunity to delve back into the ol’ B&W while playing around a bit with the images.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.

Finding Beauty in the Never-ending Winter

Miss me?

I have to apologize for a lack of posting over the past few months. The seemingly endless cold weather in New England so far this year is enough to make one just stay home and hibernate when one can. But as the weather finally begins to warm up -it’s gonna be in the 50s this weekend!- and the days get longer, the desire to get out, wander around and take some pics of New England in the “Spring” will continue to grow. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the few pics I have snapped over the past couple of months.
