The city of Melrose, Massachusetts honored the men and women who sacrificed their lives for their country this past Sunday afternoon. The event is normally held on Memorial Day itself, but was moved to Sunday this year most likely due to the rainy weather expected on Monday.
The annual Boston Wounded Vet Bike Run was held today, starting in Revere and working its way through several North Shore communities that included Melrose and Wakefield. Starting in 2011, the annual Boston Wounded Vet Run is dedicated to different veterans. All proceeds raised go towards housing modifications to suite a comfortable living for the disabled veteran.

A day off from work translated into a day trip to my current favorite photography spot: the state of Maine. The weather started off iffy, but soon changed as I head to the towns of Freeport and Phippsburg, where the beauty of Wolfe’s Neck and Popham Beach State Parks awaited me. As if the lovely locations weren’t enough, I was lucky to meet a great group of people along the way who gave me tips on new locations to track down in the future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the photos taken on May 12th.
